A former Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Nasarawa State under Governor Tanko Al-Makura and a chieftain of the APC, Solomon Ihuman, is dead.
Confirming the death to ait.live, his first son, Alphonsus Ihuman said the former commissioner died around 3am at his residence on Monday.

Ihuman said his father has battled prostrate cancer for more than 10 years, before his death at the age of 74 years.
The late Solomon Ihuman also served as Director of Personal Management in old Plateau State and Permanent Secretary in the State Ministry of Water Resources during the administration of Governor Abdullahi Adamu.
Ihuman was a major political rallying point for the minority Tiv population in Nasarawa State and instrumental to the people voting in successive administrations and Governors in the state since 1999.
He remained a strong pillar of peace not only in Nasarawa State but the entire Tiv nation.
