Paramount ruler of the Eggon ethnic nationality in Nasarawa State, North-Central Nigeria, Aren Eggon, Dr. Bala Abene Angbazo is dead.
The Dan Galadima Eggon who is the first born and son of the deceased, James Angbazo confirmed the death of the 89-year old monarch who, died in the early hours of Wednesday of a prolonged ailment..
The paramount ruler was born at Wakama District now in Nassarawa-Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa state in 1933. He ascended the throne on July 11, 1981 and has died after 41 years of his reign.
Meanwhile, the Nasarawa State Government has condoled with the family and people of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area over the death of the Aren Eggon, Dr. Bala Abene Angbazo, who died at 89 years.
Governor Abdullahi Sule who led other top government functionaries on condolence visit, described the late Aren Eggon as a leader who has left indelible mark in the sands of time.

Governor Sule who said , death is a necessary end to all mortals, urged the traditional council, his immediate family and the entire people of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government to take solace in God.
While praying for the repose of the soul of the late Aren Eggon,the Governor assured of the support of the State Government.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Deputy Chairman of the State Traditional Council and Emir Of Keffi, Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa appreciated the Governor for identifying with people of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government.
Burial arrangements of the deceased ruler would be announced soon.
