The Nasarawa State Government says it requires twelve billion naira to harness its solid mineral sector to boost revenue generation in the state.
Speaking to Journalists in the state capital Lafia, the commissioner for environment, Musa Ibrahim said that the state has completed plans to establish a solid minerals market and assist locals in displaying their product for prospective buyers to boost government revenue.
Musa applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for the release of one billion naira ecological fund for erosion control in Nasarawa, Eggon Local Government Area but that the state needs 3 billion naira to fight erosion.

He appealed to the federal government to appropriate more funds to the state to reclaim land devastated by illegal mining activities.
