The Non-Academic Staff Union, (NASU) and the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, ( SSANU), Abubakar Tafawabalewa University, Bauchi Chapter, have joined a three-day protest on the proposed allocation formula to be used for the sharing the next tranche of N22.12billion to be released by the Federal Government, for the payment of the Earned Allowance, at the rate of 75% to Academic Staff and 25% to the Non-teaching staff.

According to the Chairman of the union, Abubakar Tafawabalewa University Chapter, Sulisima Jatau, there will be no going back until the union receives a positive response from the Federal Government or risk indefinite strike action.

The leadership of the union has met with their members to brief them on the stand of the national body, before marching to the gate of the university, with placards of various inscriptions on their demands.

At the gate of the university, the union offered prayers from the two faiths, for God to intervene in their situations.
