Two teaching staff unions of Nigerian universities, the senior staff union of Nigerian universities, SSANU and the non-academic staff union of educational and associated institutions, NASU, want the minister of finance to be fired for disobeying presidential directive to pay their four months owed salaries.
The two unions are also threatening to resume their suspended strike, following what it called a charade of inauguration of 53-member committee on 2009 FGN/University-based agreement renegotiation .
General secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi declared this at its National Executive Council meeting in Abuja.
