The Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions, NASU has threatened to embark on strike at the end of December 2023, should four months salaries owed its members are not paid as promised by the Federal Government.

NASU President, Hassan Makolo and General Secretary, Peters Adeyemi, made the threat at the 8th Quadrianniel Delegates Conference in Abuja, the nation’s capital. It was a meeting of NASU members from Nigerian Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education, inter-university centres and public secondary schools.

Former President of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC and two-time Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, who was guest speaker called for thorough interrogation into who borrows pension funds and what actually they are used for.
