Young women who intend to venture into the world of politics have been advised to equip themselves if they are to make any impact properly.
These were some tips handed down at a session organised for young women in politics in Jos.
No doubt women play a vital role in society, from the home front to the public domain. Because of this huge burden they carry, many feel the political space isn’t for women, but why should women go into politics?
The organisers of the workshop say they seek to properly equip the younger generation of women who intend to tow the path of politics with all they need to know.

Some participants say they intend to contribute their quota to nation-building, which they feel can be achieved through politics.
Women’s participation in politics isn’t as high as it should be, but the enthusiasm shown by these young women gives a glimmer of hope.
