Candidate of the Rivers State All Progressives Congress, APC, and collation officers for last Saturday’s national assembly election have called for the cancellation of the results following overwhelming irregularities.

They also slammed the security agencies for aiding the manipulation of the electioneering process last Saturday.

The look on the faces of the APC national assembly candidates for Rivers east senatorial district and the House of Representatives, tell the story of the rejection of the results of the national assembly election.

Spokesperson of the group, Ezekiel Ezemonye, who is yet to come to terms with what he described as the rape of the nation’s democracy, wondered why results were announced with presiding officers nowhere close to their polling units.

He alleged that figures were altered at the INEC office, stressing that the manipulation could lead to anarchy if the right thing was not done, hence the call for the cancellation of the results.

Apc Ward collation officers and polling agents in Obio Akpor LGA , also joined the call for the cancelation of the result.

They described the alleged connivance of the electoral umpire with the ruling Peoples Democratic Party PDP as an embarrassment to the nation.
