A coalition of Humanitarian service providers in Nigeria have kicked against some names on the list of Nigerians to be conferred with the 2022 national awards.
Addressing journalists in Abuja, the group consisting of over 8 humanitarian service organisations said the alleged list shows that the committee set up for the screening of nominees has failed to allow the initiative achieve its goals by selecting those who do not deserve such national Honours.
On Monday, in a statement, the federal govt through the ministry of special duties and intergovernmental affairs described the purported list of nominees for national honours being circulated by some online media organisations as fake.

The government, in a statement issued by the Director of Press, Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Julie Jacobs, stated that it would publish the authentic list at the appropriate time.
The ministry urged members of the public to discountenance the list in circulation stressing that it will release the list at the appropriate time.
