National Police Week 2026: Delta State Police Command Presents Cheques Of Over Sixteen Million NairaTo Families Of Fallen Officers

The Delta state police command has presented cheques of over sixteen million naira to thirteen families of deceased officers.

Speaking during the presentation, which signifies the end of a week-long activities marking the national police week, Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, described the occasion as both solemn and significant, noting that it reflects the commitment of the Force leadership to the welfare of its personnel and their families.

He assured the beneficiaries that the Nigeria Police force is with them and will continue to support them.

In a vote of appreciation, one of the beneficiaries, Ahanuwa Raphael, who spoke on behalf of other beneficiaries, expressed gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police and the Delta State Police Command for the support extended to them.

He noted that the gesture would go a long way in assisting the families.

The Commissioner stated that, the sacrifices of fallen officers remain invaluable and will never be forgotten; he encouraged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the support provided, while assuring them that the Nigeria Police Force will continue to stand by them.
