As part of measures to boost security the Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has called on participants of the Advanced Defence Intelligence College, Abuja, to provide realizable intelligence reports that would safeguard the state and nation from emerging threats of attacks.
The Governor made the call while receiving participants of Course 14/2023 of the college, who are on a study tour of the state in partial fulfillment of their course, at the Government House, Makurdi.

In partial fulfillment of the course they pay this courtesy visit to the State Governor Hyacinth Alia.
According to the director of studies the choice of Benue became necessary as it provides the avenue to discuss issues that could help in tackling cases of communal clashes.
Such study efforts are going on concurrently in States which also have history of communal clashes such as Taraba and Plateau States.
