Protesters at the much talked about nationwide End Bad Governance and Hunger Protest have had their doses of Police teargas at the Eagle Square in Abuja, the Nigerian capital.
The protesters while moving from the Mushood Abiola Stadium, where a Court Order had restricted them, were accosted by security operatives who throw teargas and canisters at the peaceful protesters.
The security operatives in a bid to prevent the protesters from gaining access to the popular Eagle Square resorted to use of canisters and teargas on the protesters, turning what was a peaceful march, violent.
Though the protesters were attacked with teargas and canisters by the Police in Abuja, some of the activists told ait.live that the mass protest witnessed on Thursday was just the beginning of the civil action, which they vowed will continue despite the intimidations and provocative attacks by agents of the State.
