Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara has pleaded with Nigerian youths protesting against bad governance and economic hardship in the country to carry out their rallies peacefully and resist any attempt by forces who may want to use them to unleash mayhem in the state.

Addressing a large crowd of protesters outside the gates of the Government of House Port Harcourt, Governor Fubara says he feels their pain and supports their quest for a better Nigeria, but would sit back and allow those who do not mean well for the state unleash violence and destruction.

It’s the first day into the nationwide protest against bad governance, hunger, and economic hardship in Nigeria.

While commending the protesters for their maturity and peaceful conduct, Governor Fubara, however, wants them to be wary of elements who may want to use them to wreak havoc in the state.

He further warns that he would not fold his arms and allow undesirable elements to destroy the peace being enjoyed in the state.

The Rivers State Governor is also calling on the people of the state to refrain from taking the law into their hands and go about their activities peacefully.
