The Abia State command of the Nigeria Security and civil defense corps(NSCDC) says it will not tolerate acts of violence or destruction of public and private properties during the planned nationwide protests, warning that anyone found engaging in such activity will be dealt with decisively.
State NSCDC Commandant of NSCDC, Usman Ishaq Alfadari, while addressing officers and men of the command and members of the press, assured the public that the Corps is fully prepared to protect lives and properties and all national assets and infrastructure in Abia State, during and after the protest.

He said that credible intelligence and experience have shown that criminal elements may hijack the protest as an opportunity to destroy public and private properties and threaten people’s lives.
Alfdarai assured the public that the corps is working closely with other security agencies to ensure a hitch-free protest in the state
