NAWOJ, UNICEF Engage Women To Tackle Malnutrition In Bauchi.

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists Bauchi state Chapter has collaborated with UNICEF Bauchi Field Office and Office of the First lady to provide a Road Map for reduction of Children with malnutrition and engaged leadership of women groups across Bauchi on sensitization meetings.

The chairperson of NAWOJ, Bauchi state, Rashida Yusuf stated this during the sensitization meeting.

According to Bauchi NAWOJ chairperson, Rashida Yusuf, reports have over the years indicated that, there are high cases of Children with Malnutrition in the North Eastern part of the country due to possible high poverty rate and insurgency

She also said the meeting was aimed at providing a roadmap to addressing the challenges in Bauchi state.

During the Meeting, the Nutrition Experts invited, spoke on maternal and young children feeding and how possible people will access and prepare local Nutritious Food.

For UNICEF, as donor partners on Maternal Nutritions and child growth, the representative said they will continue to partner with well-meaning organizations to reduce the growing concerns of Malnutrition.

The women’s development groups at the end of the sensitization meeting are expected to spread the knowledge to their various forums of their organization.
