Members of Nigerian Bar Association, NBA in Gombe State are boycotting legal proceedings for one week with effect from today to press on the state government to improve their welfare and the courts they operate in.
According to the chairman of the association, Benjamin Sati, the stance of the association is due to the supposed relocation of the judges and members of the Appeal Court from the Gombe division to a new division in Maiduguri, Borno State.

Dust gathered on tables and benches of the state high court behind locked doors and sealed courtrooms at the state high court all indicating lack of activity at the theaters of the judiciary
The Attorney General’s response when AIT reporter went there was that he will not join issues with the Nigerian Bar Association.
