The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA has assured Nigerians that it will conclude the ongoing investigation on fuel contamination allegedly sold to some airlines by oil marketers which had resulted in serious-incident during air operations in the past weeks.

The investigation was prompted by safety concerns of Max Air operations where contaminated Jet A1 fuel was alleged to have resulted in major air incidents.

Speaking to AIT through Telephone, the NCAA general manager, public affairs, Sam Adurogboye said the polluted Aviation fuel had forced the agency to suspend all Max Air Boeing 737 aircrafts operations.

Adurogboye warned that appropriate sanctions will be meted to oil marketers found culpable

NCAA deflated insinuations that the matter will be swept under the carpet due to alleged bribery of The agency’s staff, noting that air safety concern is highly prioritised by the air operation regulator.
