NCDC confirms 459 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed 459 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria.

Lagos tops with 185. It is followed by Abia and Oyo with 38 each.

Akwa Ibom and Cross River have 33 each.

Osun has 24, Ekiti-23, Benue-15, Kwara-14 and Kano-12.

Delta and the FCT have 10 each, while Edo has 9, Kaduna-5 and Ogun-3.

Others are Katsina, Nasarawa and Rivers with 2 each while Bayelsa has only 1.

So far 195,511 cases have been confirmed,184,529 were discharged, while 2,552 deaths have been recorded.

Today’s report includes: Backlog of 23 deaths reported for Lagos State for 3rd September 2021.

Two States with zero cases reported: Plateau and Sokoto.
