The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening continental cooperation to promote democracy, peace, and security across Africa.

President Bola Tinubu gave the assurance at the combined passing out parade of the 72 Regular Course and other commissioning at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna.

A total of 876 cadets were commissioned into the Armed Forces of the Forces after years of rigorous academic and military training preparing them for the responsibility of defending the nation’s sovereignty.

The arrival of the reviewing officer, President Bola Tinubu, represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, signaled the commencement of the colourful parade.

In his message, President Tinubu congratulated the graduating cadets and applauded the Armed Forces for embracing technology to improve efficiency in present and future operations.

He reaffirmed that his administration remains committed to building a just and secure society for all Nigerians.

The President also emphasised that Nigeria will continue to uphold and strengthen its continental and regional roles in promoting democratic governance, peace, and security.

After inspecting the parade, the Champion Banner was presented to Abisiniya Battalion, which emerged the best in training activities.

The event also featured presentation of awards to outstanding cadets as the parade filed from slow to quick march in military tradition.

With their commissioning, the 876 graduated cadets join the ranks of the Nigerian Armed Forces, carrying both the discipline of their training and the charge to defend the nation while advancing Nigeria’s leadership role on the African continent.
