The Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA, has been urged to explore better and more modern teaching methods to equip cadets for overcoming the nation’s security challenges.
This charge was delivered by retired Major General Rabiu Aliyu, during the unveiling of the NDA’s 60th-anniversary emblem and crest.
The 60th-anniversary celebration of the Nigerian Defence Academy, symbolizes a significant milestone, highlighting its pivotal role in shaping the country’s military landscape.
For six decades, the academy has been a cornerstone in training officers for the Nigerian Armed Forces.

In commemoration of its 60th anniversary, the NDA unveiled its new emblem and crest, serving as symbols and reminders of the tremendous strides the academy has made in the past 60 years.
Retired Major General Rabiu Aliyu, a pioneer cadet of the academy, emphasised the importance of integrating contemporary concepts, to effectively prepare cadets for the ever-evolving security challenges facing the nation.
As the NDA reflects on its rich history, and looks towards the future, the new emblem and crest stand as testaments to the commitment to excellence and the continuous evolution, required to meet the nation’s defence needs.
