The Niger Delta Development Commission says arrangements are in top gear to ensure a successful hosting of the 2nd edition of the Niger Delta Games in Benin City, the Edo state capital.
The Executive Director of Finance and Administration, Boma Iyaye, who also doubles as the chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, gave the assurance while speaking with Journalists in Port Harcourt.
He said the aim of the Niger Delta Games is to identify young raw talents, nurture and develop them into world-class athletes that would make the region and the nation proud.

The slogan for the Niger Delta Games, “Beyond Oil: Harnessing the talents,” is billed to take place from 20-26 February 2026.
