The people of Soku Community in Akuku Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State, have commended the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), for donating palliative to cushion the effects of health challenges that struck the people early this year.

The people told ait.live that the NDDC intervention will go along way in addressing their plights.

To avoid further loss of lives the community cried to the NDDC for help and the Board of the Commission immediately approved emergency procurement of healthcare deliverables and services, which have been executed, including the provision of palliatives, provision of drinking water and modern toilet systems.

On Monday, the NDDC made good of its promise by delivering the palliatives to Soku community, ranging from bags of rice, garri, beans, to toiletries.
