The management of the Niger delta development commission (NDDC) says staff need to work closely to ensure that funds are applied to areas that would add value to the commission policies and programmes.
The managing director of the commission Samuel Ogbuku said this during the 2026 NDDC management retreat in owerri, the imo state capital.
The 2026 nddc management retreat brought together, executive directors, directors, head of department and units and special assistance to executive directors.
The managing director Samuel Ogbuku noted that tremendous achievements have been made over the years hence the need for the retreat to strengthen her existing internal and external operations, to ensure efficient application of resources for the benefits of the people of the niger delta region.
The director, planning, research and statistics of the NDDC, Patterson ogon, said the retreat is designed to enhance performance and ensure goals and objectives are achieved within specific time-line.
The resource persons said a unified goals and objectives should be pursued strategically for effective delivering of NDDC mandate for the people of the oil rich niger delta region.
The theme for retreat is “consolidating performance and repositioning the commission for strategic impact in 2026.”
