The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) says it is prepared to partner Universities within the Niger Delta region on research and development that will help the region address issues of ecology and food security.
The Managing Director of the NDDC, Samuel Ogbuku stated this when he played host to a delegation from the Niger Delta University, Amassoma at the Commission’s headquarters in Port Harcourt.
Ogbuku noted that such partnership will help the region to address its peculiar challenges, and add value to the region’s economy.
The Vice Chancellor of the Niger Delta University, Professor Allen Agih said their visit was to seek partnership in areas of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and the development of herbal medicine.
Professor Agih explained that such partnerships will help improve the status of the University and add value to the nation’s economy.
