Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Brigadier-General Buba Marwa, Rtd, Says plans are underway to seek government approval to conduct drug tests on new intakes of tertiary institutions, security agencies fresh recruits, and all newly appointed government employees.
Brigadier Marwa,rtd, stated during a meeting with commanders of the 36 states of the Federation, FCT and special commands on Monday at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja where he also directed it’s commanders to swoop in on illicit substances and drug dealers across the country and rid the nation of hard drugs.
The Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement agency urged the commanders to be desirous of keeping drugs out of Nigerian streets and homes.

Marwa also said he would put more efforts into drug demand reduction as part of plans to eradicate the scourge in Nigeria adding that toll-free call centers and helplines will soon be set up for Nigerians ready to give information or seek intervention from the agency.
He further reiterates his Commitment to reposition the agency by making it more purposeful, resourceful, responsive, responsible, and earn the respect of all both locally and Internationally.
