Lagos Socialite and night club owner, Pretty Mike arrested by EFCC operatives

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested Lagos socialite and nightclub owner, Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, popularly known as Pretty Mike, alongside over 100 guests during a late-night raid on Proxy Night Club in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The operation, which began around 3 a.m. Sunday, October 26, followed credible intelligence that the venue was hosting a drug-laced party. NDLEA undercover operatives had reportedly infiltrated the club hours earlier before storming the premises in line with the Agency’s Standard Operating Procedures.

Cartons of illicit substances , including Loud, laughing gas, and other narcotics, were seized from the club’s store and several suspects. All detainees, including Pretty Mike, are currently undergoing screening and interrogation at the NDLEA Lagos Command.

Meanwhile, in a separate development, NDLEA operatives at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport intercepted 70 parcels of cocaine concealed in cocoa butter body cream containers heading to London. Three suspects were arrested in connection with the export attempt, including a cargo agent and a travel agency CEO.

NDLEA spokesman Femi Babafemi confirmed both operations, describing them as part of ongoing nationwide efforts to dismantle drug trafficking networks and curb substance abuse.
