The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Kwara State Command has issued a three day ultimatum to drug users and dealers in the university communities of Oke-Odo and Oko-Oba within the Ilorin metropolis to desist from the act or risk jail terms.
The State commander of the agency, Fatimah Popoola gave the warning during an ongoing sensitization exercise across the two communities considered as flashpoints for the illicit act.
A clear message from the NDLEA commander in kwara State to drug users around the Tanke-Oke-Odo & Oko-Oba communities of Ilorin where a large percentage of students of University of Ilorin reside.

Commander Fatimah Popoola in his message said the activities of persons involved in drug abuse can no longer be tolerated in the mentioned communities as parents and business owners have had enough of the activities of these persons warning that anyone caught in the act will face the consequences going forward.
Kwara state has been identified as the state with the highest number of drug issues in the north central geo political zone before now, a development that prompted the state government and NDLEA in the state to intensify efforts to address the trend.
