The Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) has assured the Nasarawa State government that it will deliver the 330KV power substation located in Akurba, Nasarawa State, in September 2021.


A delegation from the NPDHC who inspected the project made this known during a visit to Governor Abdullahi Sule, in Lafia the state capital.

For several years now Nasarawa State has suffered epileptic power supply as a result of inadequate infrastructure for power supply.

Engineer Ifeoluwa Oyedele, Executive Director, Network, of the NPDHC, reaffirmed that the Akurba Power Project, is on course and will be delivered in 2021 adding that the people of the state, will soon begin to enjoy regular power supply in Nasarawa State.
Oyedele pointed out that the Akurba power substation project is in line with the determination of the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration, to reduce infrastructure deficits in the country.
Responding, Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule said the Akurba Power Substation is cardinal on the agenda of his administration.
According to the Governor, the power project when completed will go along way in solving the epileptic power supply in the State.
