The Implementation Monitoring Committee (IMC) from the secretariat of the National Economic Council NEC has applauded Benue State’s developmental strides, recommending that the Community of Practice, which is the platform of Commissioners of Budget and Economic Planning across the 36 States be brought to Benue for a conference, so that they can replicate same in their various States.
Director in charge of the secretariat of the National Economic Council Gloria Ahmed made this known during a 2 day assessment visit by the team to track the implementation of NEC resolutions and also the resolutions reached at the National Joint Planning Board (JPB), and National Council on Development Planning (NCDP) in 2024.
The implementation and monitoring committee from the secretariat of the National Executive Council for the North central led by Jerome Andohol began their second day assessment visit at the State’s investment and Property Company.

The National Economic Council’s field monitoring team then proceeded to the State owned university teaching hospital, the ministry of Agriculture and food security, as well as the Bureau for entrepreneurship and wealth creation.
