The Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association ( NECA) has expressed its support for the implementation of the new tax law saying it is critical to economic stability and long-term growth.
It however, called on the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) to collaborate with the organized private sector to deepen awareness of this Federal Government’s initiative.
NECA Director-General Adewale Smatt-Oyerinde while speaking during a media briefing in Lagos stressed that there will be provisions for amendment as the new tax law is been implemented starting January 1st 2026.
He lauded the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms for constructively engaging with all relevant stakeholders on the good intentions by the federal government to improve the living conditions of the people.
