For Nigeria’s education to remain competitive in the global space, laws establishing her examinations must be upgraded to meet new and advanced infrastructure and technology.
National examination Council registrar, professor Ibrahim Wushishi made the call at a seminar on examination legislation in Abuja.
Nigeria’s foremost education body, the National Examination Council, NECO is worried that poor infrastructure, malpractices, logistics, and slow pace of technology penetration are affecting the conduct of examinations in Nigeria

NECO brought together lawmakers and other stakeholders to discuss ways to upgrade its examination laws to fit into the changing technologically-driven world.
The seminar is expected to produce a communique that will be developed to a bill on examination legislation
