The National Examination Council, NECO has said that the various measures put in place to check examination malpractice have started yielding positive results.
The Registrar of NECO, Professor Dantani Wushishi, made this known in a chat with newsmen while monitoring the conduct of the ongoing examination in some schools in Jos, the Plateau State capital.

For some years now, the issue of exam malpractice has been a concern for NECO.
Perhaps, this is the reason for the measures put in place by the body to address the menace.
The Registrar of NECO, Professor Dantani Wushishi, while speaking to Newsmen after monitoring the conduct of the ongoing examination in some schools, expressed satisfaction with the 2023 exercise, and the measures put in place by the body, to address the malpractices.
He said the economic challenges currently troubling the nation have slightly affected the number of students who registered for the 2023 exercise.
Over one million candidates registered for the ongoing 2023 NECO exam across the federation, which would be concluded next week.
