NEMA Receives 131 Stranded Nigerian Returnees From Libya

The National Emergency Management Agency NEMA has received another batch of 131 Nigerian Returnees stranded in Libya.

The Returnees arrived the cargo wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport lagos on board a chartered aircraft at about 19.29 hours on Tuesday.

The Returnees who were received by the Head of lagos territorial office of NEMA Ibrahim Farinloye on behalf of the NEMA, as well as Nigeria Immigration Service, Port Health, FAAN, NAPTIP, NSCDC and National commission for Refugees were assisted back to Nigeria by the International Organisation for Migration IOM.

The Returnees comprise of 72 adult females, 6 young girls and 4 female infants. Others are 31 adult male, 11 young boys and 7 male infants.

This batch makes it a total of 1,052 voluntary Assisted Returnees so far brought from Libya this year.
