The Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency, (NEMSA), has commenced inspection of all facilities belonging to distribution companies nationwide, to identify the challenges that impact on steady transmission and supply of power to Nigerians.
The Managing Director of NEMSA, Tahir Aliyu, who led the team to Ibadan on Wednesday, said the visit is aimed at addressing the challenges facing power distribution in the country.
The Managing Director of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, IBEDC, Kingsley Achieve, outlined several challenges that impact effective service delivery.
NEMSA and the special task force set up by the Federal Ministry of Power also inspected the Ayede transmission site.
The task force says it will spend one week within the distribution area, to enable the team to have a detailed understanding of constituent areas between the transmission company and IBEDC.
