With less than a couple of days to the general election, the new Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 14 comprising of Katsina and Kaduna states, Ahmed Abdulrahman and Katsina State Commissioner of Police, Kolo Yusuf have assumed duty.
This is contained in separate statements by the various Public Relations Officers of both commands, Superintendent Gambo Isah and Assistant Superintendent of Police, Shehu Suleiman.
AIG Ahmed Abdulrahman takes over from AIG Edward Egbuka, while CP Kolo Yusuf takes over from Shehu Nadada.
AIG Egbuka and CP Nadada had earlier assumed office same day and spent only 4 months from November 9, 2022 to February 22, 2023.

Both police chiefs are reported to have hit the ground running by warning social miscreants, known as ‘Kauraye’, terrorists and other criminals elements, that it is no longer business as usual.
