The Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, says that President Muhammadu Buhari is determined to set Nigeria on the part of economic growth and sustainability and needs the support of labour.

The minister said this in Keffi, the headquarters of Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, during a Two-day Annual Senior Officers’ Conference of Professional Departments and Agencies under the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.

The minister said he was aware of the difficult situations challenging the staff of the labour ministry which include unpaid promotion arrears, statutory kilometre allowances, lack of adequate office spaces, among others.

He told the conference however that the ministry does not have the needed resources to address all the issues at a go.

Declaring the conference opened, Governor Abdullahi Sule, in a message said the Nasarawa State government would continue to maintain the cordial relationship existing between the state and the Federal Ministry of Labour.
