High Chief Ambassador Sobomabo Jackrich, widely known as Egberipapa, a leading Niger Delta freedom fighter and political activist, welcomed Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, popularly called MC Oluomo, National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), and other top national leaders of the union to his residence in Usokun community, Degema Local Government Area, last night.

The high-level courtesy visit was aimed at deepening cooperation among influential stakeholders across the country and reinforcing grassroots momentum in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid and that of Rivers State Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara.

Addressing the gathering, Egberipapa declared unwavering support from himself and his extensive network of supporters spanning all 23 local government areas of Rivers State and beyond for President Tinubu’s second term in 2027.

He particularly highlighted the approachable and youth-oriented style of the president’s son, Seyi Tinubu, noting his consistent efforts to connect directly with young Nigerians.

“This is the first time we have seen the son of a president so genuinely close and accessible to grassroots people,” Egberipapa said. “His personal commitment and readiness to engage have significantly strengthened public confidence in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

The Niger Delta leader expressed his readiness for closer collaboration with the leadership of the country to consolidate and galvanize air-tight grassroots engagement and support.

He stressed the importance of effective synergy at the community level across Rivers State and the entire Niger Delta region to ensure sustained and inclusive political momentum.

Egberipapa also commended President Tinubu for his steady, fatherly backing of Governor Fubara during challenging periods in the state’s recent political history.

He credited the president’s strategic interventions with playing a decisive role in restoring stability and preventing further disruption.

Reaffirming his close working relationship with the governor, Egberipapa vowed to continue partnering with Sir Siminalayi Fubara to deliver Rivers State solidly, “in block,” for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

In response, the leader of the delegation and NURTW President Alhaji Musliu Ayinde fondly called MC Oluomo thanked Egberipapa for his warm reception and for supporting the president’s re-election.

He assured Egberipapa that his requests would be presented to the president. He also assured the Niger Delta activist of a more harmonious and inclusive working relationship moving forward.

The visit by MC Oluomo, a key political figure in Lagos and a staunch supporter of the Tinubu administration, is seen as part of wider efforts to align transport unions, regional influencers, and national leadership structures ahead of the next general elections.

Egberipapa been a critical stakeholder with massive support base in and around the state, winning him into working for PBAT in 2027 became necessary, being that President Bola has already rated River State as the 4th largestvoter purpulated state in Nigeria.

Last night’s meeting signals growing convergence among pro-Tinubu forces to further strengthen the Renewed Hope Agenda in the South South.
