The Niger State Government has suspended the movement of commercial motorcyclists and tricyclists from 6 pm to 6 am in the state capital Minna to arrest the recent surge in thuggery and other crimes

Governor Umar Bago, made this known during an expanded security stakeholders meeting with the traditional title holders in Minna Emirate and the heads of security agencies where he described the move as the beginning of a new era of zero tolerance for thuggery

This order is not unconnected with the recent rise in the activities of thugs and social miscreants and the murder of a bank driver in the Fadikpe area of Minna metropolis on April 21.
