Bandits have killed thirty vigilante members during a fire exchange between the local vigilante group and the bandits.
The fierce gunbattle was said to be as a result of the vigilante’s attempt to recover some rustled cattle by the bandits in Magama Local Government Area of Niger State.

One of the vigilante members told Newsmen that some of the bandits were also killed.
The Chairman of Magama Local Government Council in Niger State, Safiyanu Ibeto, has confirmed the incident.
The Chairman further said that his Council is working round the clock to ascertain the actual number of casualties.
