Residents of Rafi Local Government Area in Niger State have organized special prayers, seeking Allah’s intervention to end banditry.
The residents had converged on an open field to observe the prayer against banditry, kidnapping, and cattle rustling in the area.
One of the residents said that the community members had to resort to spiritual solutions, as measures so far put in place by security agencies have defied solutions.

He added that issues of insecurity in the area have become almost a daily affair, as bandits strike on daily basis, ransacking villages, kidnapping people, and rustle animals.
