The Commander, 31 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Minna, Niger State has reassured of effective working synergy with the Nigerian police.
This, according to Brigadier General Mohammed Jibo, is to ensure that they both deal with emerging insecurity bedevilling the state.
Brigadier General Jibo gave the assurance when the Commissioner of Police, CP Adamu Elleman, paid him a courtesy visit.
In a statement by the Spokesman of the Police, Superintendent Wasi’u Abiodun, the Commissioner of Police, said the need to find lasting solutions to the challenges of Thuggery has kept him on his toes.

CP Elleman added that the visit is to discuss the security situation, synergise and collaborate in the line of duty, as well as seek assistance where necessary in tackling heinous crime and criminality.
Brigadier General Muhammed Jibo assured the CP of the necessary support, saying that since he assumed office in January 2025, there has been a cordial relationship between the Police and the Army in the State and no adverse report or any friction between the agencies.

Acknowledging that the Police are closer to the people than the military, but due to some of the challenges at hand and the overstretching of the Police, Brigadier General Jibo said it has necessitated military intervention in some areas and reassured the Commissioner of Police of the Brigade’s readiness to assist in any way necessary.
