Niger State

Barely 48 hours after the Kasuwan-Daji market attack in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State, which left about 42 people dead and scores, including children and elderly women, abducted, gunmen have struck the area again.

This time, the terrorists targeted a Mobile Police (MOPOL) checkpoint in New Kalli, Wawa Ward of the Borgu local government area, setting fire to officers’ living quarters, destroying farm produce, and seizing some belongings.

According to sources, there were no casualties reported during the attack, which took place on Sunday, January 4, at about 12:30 a.m. Although they burnt their room and packed some of their belongings, as confirmed by sources.

The renewed attack comes on the heels of the Kasuwan-Daji market incident, which left about 42 people dead and scores, including children and elderly women, abducted.
