Organised labour in Niger State has directed civil servants to embark on an indefinite strike from the midnight of Tuesday, December 1. The strike by the labour follows the failure of the State Government to pay the civil servants their full November 2020 salary.
A statement jointly signed by the State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Yakubu Garba and his Trade Union Congress, TUC counterpart, Yunusa Tanimu said, the State Government proposal to cut the pay of local government workers is also not acceptable.
