The Niger State Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress, TUC, have said they will embark on three days warning strike.
In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman of the NLC, Yakubu Garba, and the Chairman of the TUC, Yunusa Tanimu, said labour said that the refusal of the state government to augment the civil servants’ 30 per cent of their June salary is responsible for the strike action.
The statement noted that the organized labour had earlier issued one week notice of the warning strike, which will expire by Thursday midnight.
