Niger State College of Education Male Basketball Team have emerged victorious in an encounter against their counterpart, the Federal College of Education Pankshin, Plateau State.
The match which was played at the Sports Complex of Niger State College of Education, Minna, ended fifty-five points against nineteen.
By this victory, the Niger State Male Basketball Team will represent Zone D in the Nigeria Colleges of Education Games, scheduled to hold at a later date in Yola, the Adamawa State capital.
Speaking shortly after the match, the Provost, Niger State College of Education, Minna, Professor Yakubu Muhammad Auna, expressed happiness with the victory recorded by the College team.
Professor Auna assured the players, coaches, as well as the Technical Department of the support they need, to work on the areas of weakness in the team.

In his remark, the former Provost, Niger State College of Education, Professor Faruk Rashid, described sports as an avenue, where talents are discovered.
Professor Rashid enjoined the people to imbibe the spirit of participating in at least a sport, to keep fit.
