Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger State has directed the Commissioner For Works and Infrastructural Development, to as a matter of urgency, liaise with the Controller, Federal Ministry Of Works, on how to fix the damaged portions of the Bida-Lapai-Lambata Federal Government road.
Governor Abubakar Bello gave the directive, following the action taken by trailer drivers who had blocked all entry roads into Bida town.
The Governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mary Berje, described the action of the trailer drivers as unfortunate and an infringement on the right of other commuters.

The governor called on the people to continue to be law-abiding at all times.
He assured that the state government will not relent until the bad portions of the Bida-Lapai-Lambata Federal Government road are rehabilitated.
