The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Niger State Council, Comrade Abu Nmodu, has expressed grief over the sudden demise of the State Correspondent of Africa Independent Television, (AIT), Mohammed Danladi Ibrahim, who passed away in a ghastly motor accident on Thursday in Minna.

In a statement signed by the Assistant Secretary of the Council, Comrade Abu Nmodu described the deceased as an exemplary, unpretentious and outspoken Journalist, who discharged his duties with diligence, devotion and integrity.

He stated that the NUJ, Niger State Council, has lost an industrious and active member to the cold hands of death.

He said death is an inevitable end of every soul and a cold reminder to all believers, to smoothen their relationships with one another, stressing that his contributions to NUJ activities will be missed.

Danladi is survived by his wife and five children, as well as an aged mother, has since been buried according to Islamic injunctions.

He prayed to Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy, to forgive him of his shortcomings, and give his family, Niger State media family, as well as his close associates, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
