Some Katsina Residents say Nigeria’s 60th Independence anniversary should be a period for serious sober reflection, stock taking and intensified prayers rather than celebration.
They described the journey of Nigeria’s political independence from 1960 to date as a sweet bitter experience especially as it relates to insecurity faced by some states, poor standard of living, and corruption among others.
Others however believe there is light at the end of the tunnel especially with the resilience shown by the masses throughout the hard times.

They also proffer solution to getting the country working again urging the masses to believe in themselves, shun quest for quick money and use their votes wisely during elections.
