Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed

The Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has assured citizens of the State that his administration will redouble its effort and work harder to provide more dividends of democracy, than what he provided during his last four years in office.

The Governor gave the assurance in his 64th Nigeria Independence Day Anniversary message to the people of Bauchi State through a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado.

The Governor added that the 64th Independence Anniversary should be used to reflect on the struggles and sacrifices of the founding fathers of Nigeria and also strive to ensure that their labour, shall not be in vain.

Bala Mohammed said It is gratifying to note that 64 years after independence Nigerians have shown to the world that, against all odds, they are not only able to govern themselves, but are able to understand their differences, respect each other’s values and unite towards developing the country despite the socio-cultural differences.

“As a responsible and responsive Government, we have taken measures in collaboration with security agencies to protect the lives and property of our people by swiftly addressing any form of security challenges. I want to assure you that security would continue to be top on our priority so that the relative peace being enjoyed in the State is sustained,” the statement added.

While celebrating the the Nigeria @64th the governor appealed to the people to re-dedicate themselves to the service and development of the country, be patriotic and above all continue to pray to Almighty Allah to shower His mercy and blessings upon Nigeria so that peace and tranquility will reign supreme.
