Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara has said that Nigerians still have good reasons to celebrate and be grateful to God as a nation despite the economic hardship and social ills bedevilling the country and stifling its progress.

As a diverse country blessed with abundant resources and hard-working and happy people, the Governor said he has realised that the things that unite the people, including their collective hopes and aspirations for a better nation, are more than the little differences that tend to divide them.

Governor Fubara, in his speech to mark the country’s 64th Independence Day celebration, therefore, wants Nigerians to abide by the vision of the nation’s founding fathers by reaffirming their commitment to the ideals that Nigeria is one indivisible country under God and pledge themselves to each other, and the cause of freedom, peace and justice.
